Ridge Supply Introduce

Ridge Supply is located at 280 Red Schoolhouse Rd, Spring Valley, NY 10977, USA. As a "Hardware Store Near Me" provider, they offer a variety of building materials, including lumber, decking, and related supplies.

You can contact them by phone at (845) 735-1234 or +1 845-735-1234. However, it's crucial to acknowledge the significant negative feedback present in customer reviews.

One customer detailed a highly negative experience, citing multiple issues including: incorrect initial delivery, damaged goods, poor communication, and a lack of follow-through. They reported significant time and financial losses due to Ridge Supply's errors and perceived lack of responsibility. This customer strongly advises against using Ridge Supply.

Specifically, the customer reported damaged railing materials, difficulty in arranging replacements, and ultimately having to rent a vehicle to pick up replacements themselves. They also mentioned receiving incorrect hardware and experiencing delays and poor communication regarding delivery of replacement items. The quality of the pressure-treated lumber was also questioned.

Conversely, some positive feedback exists, with mentions of Ridge Supply being a "place to go for all your cedar wood material needs" and "grate professional and respectful guys helping there".

Given the strongly contrasting reviews, potential customers should exercise caution and carefully consider their options. It is highly recommended to clarify all order details, delivery arrangements, and product quality directly with Ridge Supply before making a purchase. Due to the reported service issues, documenting all communications and transactions is advised. Potential customers should weigh the risk of service issues against any potential price advantages.

Absolutely terrible experience with a terrible company. There are a lot of details below for anyone who is interested, but the key point is that when they make mistakes, they're incredibly difficult to deal with and put the burden on the customer to fix the problem. They cost me a significant amount of time and money and never followed through on trying to make it right. I decided to purchase materials (Timbertech deck boards and railings and pressure treated framing lumber) from this company to rebuild my deck based on their competitive pricing, free delivery, and very positive reviews. This turned out to be a huge mistake. I ordered the materials a few weeks ahead of building my deck. The first time they showed up to deliver, the driver and I both checked the materials against my order and realized that they left out a couple key materials. I had time, and they told me they should have the missing parts delivered within a week. After not hearing back for a week, I called, and they tried to convince me to come pick up the materials myself. I declined, since this was their mistake. Another few days later they were able to deliver the missing materials. The last step of rebuilding my deck was installing the railings. As I started to unpack the railings, I found that both stair railings were severely damaged. One of the level railings was also damaged. I was unable to continue the project until this was resolved, which also meant that the people I had helping me would no longer be available to finish the job with me. I called Ridge Supply the next day. They agreed to replace the railings, but they asked me if I could pick them up. These are 8' and 9' in length, and even if it weren't their responsibility to fix, I had no way to transport something that size. They told me they should have them in a day or two and that they would call to let me know when they could deliver. After calling multiple times and getting noncommittal responses about delivery timing, it became obvious they wouldn't be delivering by the weekend when I needed to finish the project. I spent about $200 to rent a Uhaul so that I could pick up the railings. Upon inspection, one of the 3 replacement railings was also damaged. They agreed at this point that they would replace and deliver the final railing. They called me as I was driving home, and told me they had found another, undamaged railing in stock and asked if I could turn around (adding another 20-30 minutes of driving and 15-20 miles on my uhaul rental) to pick it up. When I got there to pick it up, it turned out to be the wrong size. I reminded them that this had cost me and extra $200-250 to fix their mistakes. I never got his name, but I believe it was the owner who said "they would have to see what they could do". Of course, they never actually provided any compensation. They then told me they should have the replacement ordered and delivered by the following Wednesday and that they would call me as soon as their supplier confirmed they had the part available. They of course did not call me. I had to call them to find out that the part had delivered, and to have them complain about how hard it was to get a driver out to me. It took a couple more very angry phone calls before they finally delivered the railing. On top of all of this, I had asked them to include hardware to install the posts for the railing into the deck. The hardware they quoted and sold me was not compatible with the posts, and I had to buy the correct hardware from Home Depot. I would never use this company again, and could not recommend them to anyone. They quote a great price, but the time and money I spent trying to deal with their incompetence and horrible service was worth more than what I would have spent somewhere else. Also, I was not impressed with the quality of the actual pressure treated lumber, either. I would say it was maybe only a little better than what you would expect to get from the big box store.

What can I say about these guys that others haven't echoed? They know their stuff, are honest, courteous and have a much larger supply of higher quality lumber than any other big box store around. I needed to build a bigger deck with a combination of wood and TimberTech railings. Joe was patient and expertly helped us buy the right amount of wood and railings for the project based on our drawings. The deliveries were made as promised and were on time. Even when we needed additional materials, I was able to call in the order and pay over the phone. Start to finish, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience. They have definitely added one more loyal customer to their obviously long ranks. We will be back! Thanks guys!
