Anyone who has posted a positive review about this place hasn’t been there in a while. I have watched this place go downhill for the past several years. Yes, they have BM paint and added some hardware store stock. But the place looks rather shabby and the people that work there are MISERABLE and lazy and OBNOXIOUS. Owners take note. The dark haired, bearded guy seems like he is looking for a fight. He is condescending, interrupts and is completely uninterested in helping your customers. You can do better. We like to shop local but never again at this place.

A clean, well lit, well stocked store. Whenever I can I try to shop at smaller, neighborhood stores like this (rather than big box stores). The older sales fella and younger black man at the counter were both pleasant and accommodating. In fact I would be giving this store 5 stars if not for the bearded tattooed chap also behind the counter. While bragging about his new Tesla he made a disparaging comment about other car brands. I chimed in about my Civic being a great car (even at 250,000 miles and 15 years old). He responded that they rust out and I corrected him- that they (in fact) don’t. Anyone who has owned a Honda can attest to this. He said “if I can find any rust on your car, what do I get”? I said “ it’s parked outside but it’s not a competition, is it”? To my surprise he actually went outside and looked over my car (which has 0 body rot). He was happy to tell me (upon close inspection) that I actually had a spot of rust on my hood. While this (in itself) didn’t ruin my visit to his store, I was sort of insulted. So this criticism is instructive so that Ace/Wallauar Bedford doesn’t continue to lose business (as he also revealed). Maybe your customers would be more inclined to return if you weren’t so competitive, obnoxious and aggressive. People don’t appreciate this type of customer discourtesy. Live and learn.

John was a great guy and very knowledgeable about paint and ace items . There was a grumpy older man name Bill who looks like he just sits on the chair all day and clocks out when it’s time . I asked him a few questions and he didnt answer me properly, brushed me off sold the wrong items that I had to return and tells me why did I open it . I told him you recommended this item for the job I need so I had to open it to try it and then found out he sold me the wrong item . BILL DIDNT EVEN WANT TO HELP ME WITH THE RETURN . John took care of me and sold me the correct item and works perfectly. BILL NEEDS A VACATION!!!

Got some of the paints that Benjamin Moore Family Created. Average Customer Svc., Living off the Moore Name.. Insane Pricing... No Thanks, unless a Must.

I normally go to Home Depot, and never get the service I crave, so I went to this local hardware store close to where I live, and 3 times so far I've had the best experiences with Max and Joey, Manny. All 3 of these guys are knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Kindness is such a rare commodity these days, and rarer in the Northeast. Ugh. Anyway, that really goes a long way when it comes to the in-store experience. This is my preferred hardware store now. Thanks for your help and guidance. And thanks for allowing me to use your sink to clean my hands. You guys are great.
