Not a bad place to stop if you're local and need 1 small item, but the prices are significantly higher than if you just drive down the road to New Milford Hardware. TJ is great, a lot of the rest of the staff couldn't care less about your business. They do have some harder to find things, but nothing rings the same price as they say on the shelves. I'll begrudgingly keep going there for a sub $10 item in a pinch, but otherwise there are far better places to go.

Great family owned store always have what you need and friendly staff and owners great to still have local stores to go to instead of driving miles away

These guys are the best. Priced comparable to the blue vest and the orange. But the biggest thing to me was help what I'm looking for and having it. Not waiting for a vest to show up for 20 minutes and the one that shows up more than likely you know more than they do. And it's not there department so they can't even help you find what you need. Stones is a small shop and understand the value of the dollar and more importantly time, they get you in they get you out. Because we can all make more money but that 20 minutes waiting for no help you can never get that back. Hit these guys up. Small but have everything you need from the hardware store.

Rude, lazy, overpriced and inaccurate hours. "TOO LATE" for my business Stopped in tonight 10 minutes before closing to find 4 people standing around in the front of the store doing nothing. Asked for 6 bags of wood heating pellets.. An older portly gentleman turns toward me and says "too late". I turned to walk out, pausing to look at the clock over the door. I hear him state that if I wanted pellets I had to show up 15 minutes before closing. The forecast low for tonight is 11 degrees. I try and support local businesses and have spent quite a bit of money at Stones, but I won't return.
