They email you after you place an order saying the shipping has recently increased and is now double what it was when you checked out on their website. You either have to pay the extra or they will cancel the order. I work in e-commerce, shipping rates don't all of a sudden double overnight, and it only takes a few minutes to update the rates on your website's shipping calculator to be correct. Shady business practices.

Outwater is a great resource for builders, remodelers & craftsmen & makers looking for fit & finish parts for most commercial & residential construction. No way the showrooms can cover the gigundous amount of items they carry, but it's a good snapshot & often reminds me of smaller finish tasks & supplies needed to put icing on the cake w a project. Highly recommend downloading their master catalog & discipline related sub catalogs from the website. You could stay up for days browsing & discovering answers for jobs you didn't know you needed ideas for.

Easily the worst customer service you can find. I entered the store at 4:40. The first thing the employee said was, " You aren't here to buy anything, are you?" Why else would we be there? After we stated we were there to buy something, his next comment was that they might not have whatever we were looking for. It was clear he wanted us to leave. We quickly responded that we had called previously and were told that they do have over 100 pieces of the item we were looking for. When you spend over $600 at a store, pleasant customer service should be rendered, not an attitude and complete lack of assistance. After loading our purchased items into the car as the employee looked on, we drove away as the clock struck 5:00. Silly me for thinking that "We are open until 5" means "We are open until 5."

An incredible amount of merchandise for building. Including lighting, molding, door and cabinet handles and hinges. The warehouse is enormous and they carry any types of the above that you can imagine! My order took a long time to process though and they got it wrong twice. Ultimately they were the best prices and the warehouse was conveniently located in NJ.

Horrible customer service. Representatives treat you like a piece of s... They make you pay for their mistakes. Will never come back there. The is plenty of better alternatives. I brought back piece of hardware because they gave me the wrong one. I brought it back within time frame they require and simply asked for the exchange however they did not take product back claiming it was scratched. By the way it was scratched because of pour packaging of this company. Who put aluminum to aluminum without any paper of plastic in between? Also very slow customer service. You have to spend 30 min there to buy one item. I just want to add a few things after a response from the owner. It just proves that he does not understand what he is talking about and simply lying. I brought back two pieces. I never stated that "I may have left it on the floor that is why it is all scratched up". As for timeliness I was the only person at your facility at the moment with two reps standing by and one servicing me. A it took him 30 min to make repeated order with a mistake !!! As per damaged goods this particular item was bent on the corner when I was buying it. I did not say anything because I had to cut it anyway.
