The one thing about small family stores is the personal touch. No, they don't have the inventory of the big box stores. Someone asked how I was doing, and if I was looking for anything within minutes of me walking in the store. I explained my problem of having the wrong connections for a plumbing/filtration issue. An expert talked with me until we finished troubleshooting the issue, and I walked away with the exact components I needed. You don't get this sort of service from the big box shops. Hardware stores aren't retailers... they are service shops that happen to carry the components you need, and they will tell you where to go if they don't carry it.

Always have what I'm after. Service from the gents on the floor is always top notch. The ladies at checkout are mostly great, but there are some bored-seeming youngsters that have not been trained in, or don't care about, good customer interaction. The job gets done, but sometimes feels like an imposition. So 4, instead of 5, stars.

This store has saved me multiple times from driving out farther to the big hardware stores, they carry so many items. The service is friendly and knowledgeable. I wish prices were lower across the board but there are good sales too.

Couldn't find stainless lag screws anywhere and drove 40 min to get them here. Called ahead and the gentleman was kind enough to grab the 4 they had left in stock along with washers and set them aside for me. Great customer service.
