Posting this as my DIY project failed. The absolute best part of this project, my day and this week was going into harbor freight in pittsfield. Both employees were great and so helpful! But im not spiraling on my failed DIY because i met the most personable and funny woman there tonight. Not only that, i realized after I left, that she's GOLDEN in sales. She so kindly asked if I wanted an account and I did sign up, im SO glad. I can lose my receipt AND have a 90 day gaurantee I feel safe here. Thank you HF for hiring this fabulous woman!! I'll be back and ensure I have her name because to have so much positivity from a failed DIY is a true testament of how I left the store with HER good energy ✨️😊

This store is well stocked and maintained. I've only been in two times in about a year. Both times the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I know not all tools and equipment are created equally but the items I've purchased have been good quality and of sound construction. My most recent purchase was this Pittsburgh 2 ton floor jack, for the price I don't think it can be beaten.

Went in to get a spindle sander. I've been wanting 1 for some time to do detailed sanding. I will be making my first knife and need this to shape the handle. Hope it works well.

I came here looking for a specific item. I wait in line with the ticket for the item in hand just for the rude cashier Jodi to tell me the item is no longer in stock and most likely will never be back in stock. So why have the tickets if the item is no longer in stock? I inquire with her about another similar item and with barely looking at it on my phone she tells me it's on aisle 8. Go to aisle 8 and it's completely the wrong item. Go back to the cashier and have to stand in line behind three people at this point as Jodi is the only one working the register on a busy weekend. Then after waiting (again!) I tell her that is not the right item and i show her again on my phone. She finds the call ticket for the item and calls for it to be brought up and tells me to wait to the side while they bring it from the back. 20 minutes later they bring it up and the line is 5-6 people deep by now she starts calling other people in front of me after she seen the item was brought up. I said excuse me miss but i've been waiting here for quite some time and she looks at me and says you will have to go to the back of the line!! Even other customers looked at her with disbelief! This store has horrible customer service and I will never return to this location again. Hopefully the manager reads this and can give their employees some serious training!

Basically, it is decent quality tools at reasonable prices. Yes, you can buy higher quality elsewhere, but you are also going to pay a lot more.
