Great hardware store that has most of what you will need depending on the size, scale or type or project. In the time you will spend looking for staff at Home Depot to help you, you could drive over to Goody's and get help from someone who knows what they're doing. You will likely spend less by getting the right supplies and sound advice the first time

Very helpful staff every time I come in. Usually I'm not one to ask questions when shopping, but most of the people who work there seem to know their products pretty well. If someone asks, I'll explain what I'm working on and they typically have some good advice.

Being new to the local hardware store life, I am consistently blown away by the customer service, price points, and knowledge of the team. I even left an item there by accident during closing time and they sure were ready for me when I came back 2 days later to look for it. The Home Depot across the street even recommends coming to Goody’s for certain services. If that doesn’t tell you how good this spot is, idk what to tell you. Will be my first go to spot even if I leave the general area.

STAY AWAY Horrible customer service Had an incredibly disappointing experience at Goodys Hardware Store. As a female customer, I felt that the owner and his register help were inattentive and dismissive. The man at the register, who seemed to have difficulty seeing properly, lost my original key while copying it. After traveling from two towns over, I called him from a long distance away, only to be told rudely that he had given me the keys. When it sat, he lost it behind the register !! After searching, I found my keys sitting right at his register. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. He was rude and spoke down to me in front of my grandson. please READ Moreover, the owner’s attitude was no better. He was dismissive and seemed unconcerned about my predicament. It felt as though they might have a bias against female customers, given the lack of respect and attention I received. I will never return to Goodys Hardware Store. East haven !! It’s no surprise the business appears to be falling apart given the poor customer service and unkept conditions very dirty I strongly advise others to avoid this place Train your staff properly or give up - close the door Rob hang it up
