Went to have keys made yesterday and a simple door lock key could not be made because the worker said that they "needed" the code for the key, which doesn't exist. This is not the first time we had issues with making keys, including one of the managers telling me he would order the correct Honda key blank and never did, so I went elsewhere. Their inventory is pretty light, especially in the hardware and fittings section, with many empty bins and product spots. This has been like this for several years and not what I expected from ACE Costello. We used to go to the Lake Success location and may have to start going back there again, or to the Floral Park location.

I purchased 11 gallons of paint. The woman gave me individual gallons of the same color for $559. At no time did she inform me that I could have gotten 10 gallon for $250 then purchase a single gallon. I was informed of this by an employee at a Benjamin Moore store as well as my painter. I was very annoyed. I will never return.

I needed a new regulator and hose for my outdoor fire pit. I called the store and the phone was answered by a young woman who took the time to check if they had any in stock, they did. I said I would be there in 20 minutes. When I got there the part was waiting for me at the counter. I met the young woman, her help and professional helped restore my faith in the younger generation. Sorry I don't remember her name.

I always go here first for my hardware needs and most of the time find what I am looking for. The staff is always very helpful and if they don't have something, will try to order it. They are very knowledgeable and polite.

I tried 3 different plumbing shops in New Hyde Park and 2 home depots. None could help. I met a very nice lady named Kat at this particular ACE store. It took her about 7 minutes, and inwas out of there qith the parts i needed. Thanks Kat! ACE is lucky to have you and your expert knowledge!
