If you want people to support and shop your store you might want to be a little kinder to your customers. I came in to get keys made. The man that helped me was very nice, a man walking by asked if I was being helped, very nice. I go to pay for the keys, the Andy long haired cashier asks if I have a reward account , I asked him to check my phone number as I have been an Ace Costello customer for years, Bethpage location, Plainview… Does not come up. I say ok how do I go about this? Meaning become a rewards member. He says to me, and I quote… Mame we can’t just punch our number in the get you a discount/ rewards credit. We have a protocol here. What?? I said to him , what are you talking about? I was just asking how to get s rewards card. He quickly starts reaching for an application I think, with an attitude, I said never mind if I have to fill anything out right now. I just had back surgery and I am holding on to two canes. Nice way to treat someone , especially a handicapped someone. So glad I came in to your store today. I felt pretty bad as I left. P.S. Haven’t worked for 3 months, no salary, but I came to you today for my purchase. I could have used a discount if there was any.
