This place seems more oriented for contractors, but I love the old-timey feel. You tell Felix or whoever is behind the counter what you want, and he will find it for you. I almost bought the fancy quiet-close $59 toilet seat from an UWS home goods store, but instead purchased a generic seat for $15 from C&C and installed it myself (the fasteners were in a baggie taped inside the box). Highly recommended.

They are very nice here—the entire staff. They have a reasonable variety and selection...man, I’ve bought everything from spray paint to vinyl flooring to mouse traps and caulk plus had key copies made. Note that it is slightly pricey—essentially you’re paying the for the convienence—definitely don’t expect anything like “Home Depot” pricing.

These guys are awesome. I had a stuck screw on my laptop and they worked persistently to remove it. This problem gave me a real headache for days and they were able to solve it in twenty minutes. I highly recommend C&C Hardware - amazing customer service.

This is not a love story. I was walking by and remembered I needed to buy toggle bolts for the last10 months. I scrutinized every detail of the 8 different types and confidently walked to the counter with the wrong size. I forgot that I was absolutely broke except for the $2 bill folded in the innermost pocket and the $1.16 of change in my pocket. The useless bolts came to $1.63 and I parted with my good luck charm and hidden talisman of queerity. An hour later I stubbed my toe. LIFE IS HELL.

Good hardware store but not really open until 5 on saturdays. 3:40 and closed already. This is inconsiderate to your customers.
