I come to this store a lot for home repair products for years. They have good inventory but the staff don’t seem to know the products or have any knowledge of home repair. They can’t answer your questions about specific repair or the product, and often times result in your purchasing the wrong products for the repair you need to do. I’ve been here for over four years and little has improved. Often times, I have to go all the way to Home Depot in Manhattan to get what I need. Also, their products are not cheap, sometimes even more expensive than Home Depot. It makes your question how professional the store is if they don’t even seem to know what they are selling and what you can use it for.

The staff at this store seem to have very little knowledge about the products they sell. I once asked for a wood blade but it was not in stock, so they tried to convince me to buy a plastic one instead, saying that they are “exactly the same”. They also won’t own up to their mistakes. When they sell you the wrong product (seems to be a very common issue here based on the other 1-2 stars reviews) and you go back for a refund, they will argue that they simply “showed” you the product and that you were the one who chose it, refusing to issue a refund.

Good inventory but, unfortunately, the staff was not helpful in answering questions about products. When I needed to return an item after reading more about it at home, the return was not accepted since the packaging was opened. Inventory is just as important as customer service in hardware stores and this one just didn’t cut it.

I needed a specialty paint from Benjamin Moore which they had in stock. They offered other options as well. The service couldn't have been better. They went the extra mile to make sure I was happy with the color, too. Now I know where to get the right paint for the job!

These guys are SHADY. The store is great, well stocked and you think Great, I just found my new local paint store. Then they hit you with the prices. They do not want to honor the prices that are up on the walls. I was buying a gallon of paint, multiple signs priced it at $39.99 a gallon. They wanted to charge me $47.99. There were 3 levels of quality, priced $39, $47, $59. When I caught their mistake, they argued with me that the prices went up and those were the old signs and then argued further that it’s the same quality when clearly the cans tell you differently. I had to argue with them that if the prices went up and they should change the signs. After a long argument and threatening to leave the store they gave it to me for the listed price. Just beware and watch out for the prices there. I like to support small business but not when they’re trying to take advantage of their customers.
