Everyone at this shop is so sweet! I love coming here mostly because of the warm customer service and I always find what I need and learn something new. I'm not tool/hardware savy but the folks at American Hardware always leave me feeling well equipped to handle my own small home repairs and projects from unclogging a drain to varnishing furniture, and much more. I feel like I get a little lesson every time I go in to buy something. Thank you!

My partner and I recently stopped in for some paint. We were beyond impressed by the knowledge of the team at American Royal hardware. We have always shopped here for BBQ propane, spare keys when we need it. They are always stocked with shovels for snow and grills in the summertime. I cannot express how important a local business Is so crucial to this area. The feeling of the employees actually caring about your needs beats any big box store. I generally cannot express how easy and stress-free the experience was here.

I live equidistant to Home Depot and American Royal Hardware, but I always go to these guys. It's small so I don't have to walk a million miles and spend half a day trying to find things. Parking is convenient and, I can even stop go get some food or coffee at some of the places on the street while I'm there. The service is great and the prices are competitive. Ultimately it's about the service, though. You simply can't find a lot of places like this anymore. I don't have to look for help; help just magically appears!

Parking lot. Immediately helped upon walking in. I only needed my keys copied but I walked around and they seemed to have just about everything. Best hardware store in Montclair.

Can’t say enough good things about the team at American Royal. They are always courteous and always have the answer. Their prices are very competitive. I’ve always got a home improvement/repair project going and they have never steered me wrong.
